This page explains, in plain language, what information chiefdj.com collects, why, who helps handle it, and the choices you have. The short version: we use it to answer booking inquiries and to see which parts of the site people enjoy. We don't run ads and we never sell your information.
chiefdj.com is the website of DJ Chief, a DJ, producer and writer based in South Florida, USA. "We" and "us" on this page means DJ Chief. For anything about your information, see Contact below.
When you send a booking or general inquiry, we receive what you type: your name, email, phone number (optional) and your message.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, so we can improve it. It tells us things like which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are (country or city), what kind of device and browser they use, which site or app sent them here, and which features they use on the site (for example opening the turntable, Break Mode, a streaming link, or sending the booking form).
Your cookie choice: you can accept or decline, and change your mind any time.
Google's own privacy information: Google Privacy Policy. You can also block Google Analytics on every website with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
A few small settings are remembered in your own browser so the site behaves nicely. They are never sent to us:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your cookie choice | So we don't ask again. |
| That you've seen the opening animation | So it only plays on your first visit. |
| That you've seen the "open in your browser" tip | So it only shows once. |
| Where you are in the Break Mode playlist | So each tap plays the next song. Cleared when you close the browser. |
Links to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Tidal, Amazon Music, Bandcamp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies. Nothing from those services is embedded on chiefdj.com or loads until you choose to visit them.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop using it. If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK you also have the right to object, to restrict use and to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority. If you're in California, you can ask what we collect and ask us to delete it; we don't sell or share personal information as defined by California law. We'll answer within 30 days.
Information handled by Netlify and Google may be processed in the United States and other countries, under those companies' safeguards for international transfers.
For any privacy question or request, send a message through the booking form and start it with "Privacy request".
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
